Three engineers ate here 2 days on the bounce as we were restricted on alternative restaurant options. X2 of us are somewhat plant based and one was a full carnivore.
Food is of good quality, poor vegetarian dishes due to the amount you get in comparison to the meat dishes. The pricing does not reflect the significantly smaller portions, priced identically to the meat breakfast. We were left peckish after unfortunately and the meal was just shy of £10.
The restaurant is clean and the fast service was very good so I couldn't fault their service. There was also a good selection of condiments!
The staff could smile and be more friendly.
The temperature was just as cold as the welcome, the 2 degree ambient temperature was uncomfortable to enjoy our meals. Couldn't wait to leave to get warm somewhere else. Coats, hats and gloves left on
Would recommend if you want quality food though and are not bothered about the above!
Great food, decent quantities and friendly service. I usually like to take away my food from here but we enjoyed eating in this time as it was a bit quieter and we had to hide away from the rain. Between two of us we shared the meze platter and soup.
Came here for lunch on a Friday and it didn't disappoint! I had the New Yorker and thought it tasted really nice, excellent flavour combinations and the price (considering its location) was quite cheap. The deli itself gives off strong Greek vibes and stays true to its heritage. It can get a little cramped in here on lunch but I didn't mind, its very good that's why it's so busy. The chips were also delicious and had a really nice dusting of herbs and spices - well worth the £3.50. I would recommend this place and most likely will return. Also, the staff here and very friendly and helpful, not one of them looked bored or miserable (like the staff at places such as McDonald's etc) and they made the experience better.
Was a favourite of my wife and son. First time I’d been with them. Got drinks order wrong. Did correct it when questioned though. Then forgot one of the 3 dishes we’d ordered. Had to be asked twice for it. Tea cake with lashings of margarine and not butter was a bit grim. Was a favourite now will try elsewhere.
I ordered the smashed avocado toast. This took 15 minutes even though the place was practically empty. When my order came the avocado had the consistency of snot and tasted of nothing. It said fresh avocado on the menu, this was definitely not. I went to the counter and handed the plate and said I can't eat this. The girl just said that's fine I'll take that for you and walked off!
So far, coffee is mediocre and we’ve been waiting over an hour for an order for four. Nothing fancy, just their basic breakfast. Been watching other patrons get their food, finish and leave, and every time we ask where the food is, it’s “just 5 minutes longer.”
It’s damn joke. And food finally arrived. Wasn’t bad. But not worth the wait.
Delicious food at reasonable prices. Went during weekday lunch time there was quite a queue but it moved along fast. Staff were fast paced and helpful. Enjoyed the pulled pork and peri peri chicken with paella. Roasted pork was already sold out by 1pm. Impressive spread at the salad bar, will definitely return for it.
I never normally complain or leave reviews but service was absolutely atrocious today. The young man serving had no idea of what the menu offered (I had to point out some very basic things), completely forgot about my ice latte and when I asked for a refund as I was about to miss my bus they held me hostage to make one on the spot, then forgot the ice so it was a warm cup of milk basically. When I again asked for a refund I got 2.60 which makes me think I was short changed (the meal - an omelette, bottle of water & ice latte came to 10.30 total - if I’ve miss calculated maybe provide full prices on the menu?)
Also - not the servers fault but omelette was full of mystery crunchy bits which I can only hope were eggshells
This used to be my favourite lunch spot in Manchester but I guess a lot has changed in a few years.
